When do you schedule your quarterlies? In the last few weeks of a quarter or the first few weeks of the quarter? It seems like you should wait until the previous quarter is complete so my guess is as early in the new quarter as possible. So you might have a few days/weeks with no Rocks set if you haven't held your quarterly yet.

@Darrin Jahnel154 - from my experience, the answer is both. A lot of companies do it in the first couple of weeks of the new quarter so they can have the full quarterly financial results to review, while others do it the last few weeks of the quarter so they are set to go with Rocks in place when the new quarter begins. So basically you just need to figure out what works best for you and your Leadership Team.

An additional data point for consideration of why we choose to hold quarterlies at the beginning of a new quarter is that our leadership team meets with their direct reports to set their personal rocks at the end of a quarter so when they attend the quarterly they have on their radar all the most critical items within their team while setting the institutional rocks for the quarter.  We tried it the other way around and our leaders found it more helpful for their teams to inform the quarterly rather than to direct them to focus on what the leadership team mandates as the institutional rocks before meeting with team members.  We set the conclusion date for our quarterly rocks as the date of the next scheduled quarterly.

Hey @Darrin Jahnel175 , in my own implementation I started out doing quarterlies at/shortly before the end of a quarter but found it more beneficial for my team to do them after we closed (financially) a quarter.  Of course, we also adjusted our quarterly rock due dates accordingly.
