Rocks are defined as the 3 to 7 most important things that must get done in the next 90 days.

Rocks are 90 Day priorities that are written "SMART" (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timebound). Rocks are created at the Quarterly Pulsing meeting and a single person owns each Rock. They are due at the following Quarterly Pulsing meeting.

Issues are any topics that need to be resolved by the team. An issue could be a problem, obstacle, idea or opportunity; anything that needs to be set up and knocked down using I.D.S. (Identify, Discuss, Solve).

I am curious to know if anyone has used Rocks as OKRs? We have been running on EOS for almost two years now (self-implemented).). We are trying to get more clarity on setting the right rocks, measurable for the whole team and aligning that with the business's long-term vision. One of the challenges we are facing right now is strategic alignment and dependencies. I know it's an ongoing process of testing and refining to find what works for the business. I have a couple questions on level-10 meetings. Sometimes we have to do's that come out of issues that are longer than 7-days for one reason or another. Do these still go on the To-Do's, do they go as rocks, or somewhere else? Do some people put to-do's that are longer than 7 days?

Also, are you not supposed to update or add to your rocks during the quarter? Only update them at the quarterly review?

All Rocks stay on the Rock Sheet until the next quarterly / annual and are reviewed in the weekly Level 10 Meeting - On Track, Off Track, Complete and even the rare non-rocked rock.
